We are seeking a professional, energetic, and driven individual to join our Company as a Medical Laboratory Sales Representative for Women’s Healthcare in North Alabama to promote sales for our rapidly expanding laboratory services in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will have responsibility for identifying new opportunities to increase sales of our testing services in women’s healthcare and to respond to client needs in the North Alabama territory. This position will be required to develop a thorough knowledge of our products and tests available to achieve sales and activity targets in OBGYN and select Internal Medicine & Primary Care customers.

Job Status: Full-Time | Exempt | Salaried

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop sales strategy and implement plan to achieve sales objectives for the assigned territory specifically focused on women’s healthcare solutions.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Schedule and meet with potential and existing customers to expand our products/services sales.
  • Meet call objectives
  • Make compelling sales presentations to multiple decision-makers leading to product and program sales.
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend Company products that best fulfill those needs.
  • Focus on new business development activities at target clients, meeting and exceeding the required number of daily contacts.
  • Track daily activities in the CRM (Salesforce).
  • Manage administrative duties as assigned, monitor expenses to budget, timely administrative and call reporting.
  • Maintain solid working relationships with new and existing customers by providing excellent after-sales service and cultivating a service culture.
  • Regularly attend industry events, training, Company meetings, briefings, etc.
  • Research competitors’ products, pricing, and market success to expand sales within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare sales reports as well as territory analyses to present to management.
  • Work with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message, and ways to improve our services.
  • Conduct cold calling with intent to develop new markets and customer base.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Company’s markets, key referral sources, and position in the market related to competitors.
  • Collaborate with other Company employees as needed,
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • 50-75% travel required.
  • Prior knowledge of Core Laboratory, Molecular (PCR), Microbiology, and Toxicology, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory services and diagnostics.
  • Established book of business and relationships with healthcare providers in designated territory preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biology, medical technology, business, or related discipline.
  • Prior experience in women’s healthcare required.
  • Five years of experience to include a combination of healthcare sales, marketing, and laboratory services.
  • Laboratory or Diagnostic Sales, preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Meet and/or exceed metrics and growth targets.
  • Experience with utilizing a CRM; preferably Salesforce.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and MS SharePoint.
  • Prior knowledge of healthcare facilities, hospitals, surgical centers, outpatient practices, long-term care facilities, and reference labs.
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively with occasional overnight and provide own car.
  • Excellent computer skills.
